The Alberta Genealogical Society has produced numerous publications in addition to its quarterly periodical "Relatively Speaking". Publications available for purchase are outlined below.

Cemetery Publications - which include information from many Alberta cemeteries

AGS is now publishing cemetery records 'on demand'. The small remaining stock of hard copy publications is out of date and will no longer be sold.

If you are searching for a specific person and do not know where he / she is buried, send a query to research8@abgensoc.ca. Our Research Services volunteers will respond to your question and search our database for you. They will send you their results. A donation for this service is requested.

If you know which cemetery you would like to have in full or, if you would like to know what cemeteries we have recorded in a certain area, please send an e-mail to publications8@abgensoc.ca with your request. An estimate of the cost may be provided on request.

You will receive the publication in hard copy. Charges per cemetery are - $0. 25 per page with a $5 minimum (20 pages) and a $25 maximum (100 pages). Postal charges will be added and you will be informed of the final charge and asked for payment in advance.

The cemetery records may also be requested to be sent to you in PDF format. Please indicate your preference when contacting us.

Alberta Genealogical Society Publications:

A01 - Alberta Sources: a listing of all known Alberta cemeteries and other surname sources by nearest town indicating which have been recorded, and which have been published or entered on the "master surname index". This item is now available as a free download in PDF format. Note: This is a preliminary draft only. File is available here.

A02 - Alberta Genealogical Society Library Holdings List (Oct 2006): a listing of materials that may be borrowed by mail or in person by members of the Alberta Genealogical Society. Cost: $5.00 plus $3.00 postage and handling.

A03 - Alberta Index to Registrations of Birth, Marriages and Deaths 1870 - 1905: a 648 page book containing about 32,000 names compiled by members of the AGS from registrations in those years before Alberta became a Province. Cost: $48.00 plus $9.00 postage and handling.

B02 - Index of Obituaries - Extractions from Brooks Bulletin newspaper, 1910 - 1989. Cost: $15.00 plus $3.00 postage and handling.

B03 - First Addendum to the Obituaries Index, 1990 - 2000. Cost: $10.00 plus $2.00 postage and handling.

D01 - Drayton Valley Births, Marriages, and Deaths: This 540 page Index of Births, Marriages and Deaths of Drayton Valley and Surrounding Areas in Alberta contains information that has been taken from newspapers local to Drayton Valley from 1954 to 2004.
